Birmingham and the West Midlands, run from Wrexham

Google Ads for Birmingham businesses, managed for a flat monthly fee

From £249 a month, set by how much you spend and never a percentage of it. The person who builds your account is the person who runs it and the person who answers the phone. We have no office in Birmingham; what you get instead is a same-day change whenever you ask for one.

The short answer

What does a Birmingham PPC agency cost?

Here it costs £249 a month for ad spend up to £1,000, £399 up to £3,000 and £599 up to £8,000, plus £199 once to build the account, and the ad spend itself goes to Google on your card. Most Birmingham agencies do not publish a fee; the ones that do start well above £1,000 a month or take only accounts spending several thousand.

Prices exclude VAT and were reviewed on 5 September 2026. The full breakdown, the terms and what is not included are on the pricing page.

Where we are, honestly

We have no office in Birmingham. Daniel Stoychev runs every account from Webso Digital in Wrexham: 82 miles away, 1 hour 41 minutes by road when we come to see you, which we do by appointment.

Day to day that means a video call or a phone call whenever you want one, a change made the same day you ask, and nobody between you and the person with the account open. It also means no city-centre overhead, which is part of why the fee stops at £599.

The fee model, in pounds

A percentage of spend at three Birmingham budgets, against the flat fee

Agencies that take a share of spend usually quote somewhere between 10 and 20 per cent; the table uses 15, the middle of that range. Read the last row before the others: at the smallest budget the percentage looks cheaper, and it is also the budget almost nobody charging that way will take.

Monthly ad spend15% of spend, a monthFlat fee here, a monthOver a year
£8,000£1,200£599 (Scale)£7,212 less on the flat fee
£3,000£450£399 (Growth)£612 less on the flat fee
£1,000£150, if an agency would take it£249 (Starter)£1,188 more on the flat fee, for an account that is read every week

The difference that matters is not the arithmetic. A percentage pays the agency more every time your budget goes up, whatever comes back; a flat fee pays the same whether we recommend spending more or less, which is why our reports recommend less as often as more.

The market

Where Birmingham searches come from, and why the radius is the first decision

Birmingham is 1,144,900 people in the city alone (ONS Census 2021) before Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, the Black Country and Coventry are counted, and the searches do not spread evenly. A campaign that treats the whole conurbation as one place pays Bullring prices for Erdington jobs. The account is built around where your customers actually stand when they search.

Seasons matter too: the Frankfurt Christmas Market fills Victoria Square from November, five universities start their year in September, and a matchday at Villa Park or St Andrew's, a Test at Edgbaston or a show at the NEC changes what a hospitality campaign should be bidding on that week.

Jewellery Quarter
Jewellers, workshops and the trade around them: ring and repair searches from the whole region, Shopping ads that need a clean feed.
Colmore Row and Brindleyplace
Law firms, accountants and the office trades, where a click can cost more than lunch and the enquiry form is the campaign.
Digbeth, Kings Heath and Moseley
Independent restaurants, bars and shops that live on a one-mile radius, evening bookings and event weekends.
Edgbaston
Private clinics and practices beside the cricket ground, with the compliance rules of health advertising to respect.
Selly Oak and the university belt
Student lets, term-time services and a demand curve that resets every September.
Erdington, Sutton Coldfield and Solihull
Family homes and the trades that serve them: boilers, roofs, drives and the emergency searches at 11pm.
Longbridge and Castle Bromwich
A long automotive history and the garages, body shops and parts suppliers that came with it.
The Black Country and Coventry
Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Sandwell and Coventry: manufacturing, distribution and trades that sell to Birmingham but are not in it.

The first ninety days

Four phases, and the third month is the first one worth judging

The routine is the same on every account and it is written up in full on the how-we-work page. This is the short version.

  1. Days 0 to 14

    Build or repair

Structure agreed in writing, tracking proved by a test call and a test form, negatives seeded, ads live.

  2. Days 15 to 30

    Cut the waste

Every search that spent money is read; the ones that could not buy are excluded. Budget moved to the hours the phone is answered.

  3. Days 31 to 60

    Feed the bidding

Enough clean conversions for Smart Bidding to work with; the landing page changed where the data points; the first report.

  4. Days 61 to 90

    Judge and decide

Cost per enquiry against what an enquiry is worth to you. Spend more, spend less, or stop, said plainly in the report.

Proof, stated carefully

What we can show you today, and what we will not pretend to

There is no Birmingham PPC case study on this site yet, and there will not be one until a client agrees to publish real numbers. What exists is a worked example labelled as such, measured results from the website work the landing pages are built on, and a method you can check against your own account.

Things we will not do to your account

  • Take a percentage of your spend, or bill the ad spend through us with a margin on it.
  • Leave Google's auto-apply recommendations switched on.
  • Run Performance Max as the only campaign, so nobody can see which searches spent the money.
  • Report clicks and impressions as if they were customers.
  • Take two Birmingham businesses in the same sector on the monthly plans.
  • Show a Google Partner badge, a review score or a client logo that is not real.

Negative keywords for your sector

Type your trade into the generator on Competitor Watch and it returns the words that attract job seekers, students and the free-and-cheap crowd, ready to paste into a shared list. Add the West Midlands towns you do not serve and you have the first hour of every account we build.

Your landing page, measured live

Quence reads the page as a phone on a slow connection would: how long until it is usable, whether the form and the number work, what the headings say. Google scores landing page experience into Quality Score, and a slow page pays more per click for the same position.

The free 72-hour check

For an account already spending. Six checks read by a person, a written note back within 72 hours, nothing changed in the account. Needs the ten-digit customer ID and nothing else. The paid £150 audit is the long version, and the page explains the difference.

Questions Birmingham businesses ask before they call

Do you have an office in Birmingham?

No. The account is run from Wrexham, 82 miles and about 1 hour 41 minutes by road, and we come to you by appointment. Everything in Google Ads happens on a screen, so what you get instead of a Birmingham address is the person who built the account making the changes himself, usually the same day you ask, with no account manager relaying messages. Not paying city-centre rent is part of why the fee is £249 to £599 rather than four figures.

What does a Birmingham PPC agency cost?

Here, £249 a month for ad spend up to £1,000, £399 up to £3,000 and £599 up to £8,000, plus a one-off £199 to build or rebuild the account. Ad spend is separate and goes to Google on your own card. When we read the ten largest UK PPC agency websites on 5 September 2026, the lowest published monthly fee was £1,500 and most published nothing at all.

Which Birmingham businesses do you take on?

Solicitors, trades, restaurants and hospitality, estate and letting agents, garages and dealers, and manufacturers with a B2B sales cycle; each has its own page here because each is run differently. One client per sector in Birmingham on the monthly plans, so a family law firm and a conveyancer can both be clients and two family law firms cannot.

Is Google Ads worth it for a small Birmingham business spending under £1,000 a month?

Often, and the arithmetic decides. A click in most Birmingham service sectors costs low single figures in pounds; at £3 a click and one enquiry in twenty clicks, £800 buys around thirteen enquiries, and if one in three becomes a job worth £300 the sum works after the £249 fee. If it does not, the free check says so and we would rather tell you than take the fee.

How do you target Birmingham without wasting spend on the rest of the country?

Location targeting set to people physically in the area, never the default that includes anyone anywhere who searched about Birmingham; a radius or a list of postcode districts that matches where you actually trade; and a negative keyword list of the West Midlands place names you do not serve, because a Wolverhampton search is a wasted click for a Solihull garage.

Do I need a Birmingham agency, or can Google Ads be run remotely?

It can be run from anywhere with the account open and the phone answered, which is what happens here. What a local agency genuinely offers is a meeting room; what it usually costs is an account manager between you and the person doing the work. Our answer is a video call whenever you want one and a visit by appointment, with the account run by one named person from start to finish.

How quickly will Google Ads bring enquiries to a Birmingham business?

The first clicks arrive the day the campaign is approved and the first enquiries usually within the first two weeks. The first month is spent removing the searches that could never have bought and proving the tracking; the third month is the first one worth judging, which is why the minimum term is three months and no longer.

What is the free Google Ads check, and what is the catch?

It is a written read of an account that is already spending, back within 72 hours, needing only your ten-digit customer ID and a read-only access request you approve. It covers six things: search terms waste, negative keywords, whether calls and forms are tracked, landing page speed, ad assets and budget against CPC. There is no catch beyond the obvious one: if it finds a lot wrong, we will offer to fix it for the fees on the pricing page.

Send the account ID. Within 72 hours you know where last month's money went.

The free check needs your ten-digit Google Ads customer ID and nothing else. Daniel Stoychev reads the account himself and writes back within 72 hours. If you would rather talk first, the phone is answered in office hours by the same person.
